Josh Evan Barker

I am a PhD student in Economics at Clemson University and Economics communicator and social media content creator.

Prior to coming to Clemson, I spent three years working at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia beginning the Government Relations team then moving to Economic Research before settling in the Financial Statistics group. During my undergraduate studies, I interned at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the American Enterprise Institute.

I received my B.A. in Economics and Politics from Hillsdale College in 2023 and my M.S. in Data Science from Eastern University in 2025.

My key areas of academic interest include Political Economy, Public Finance, Public Choice, Institutions, and International Trade.
